History Tutoring

We provide help in understanding historic events, cause and effect, and the usual expectations of history teachers. Sessions are done online, and scheduling sessions is easy. Simply send an email to rebellioushistory@gmail.com and provide the following: history class being attended, the particular subject that you need additional discussion and help with, the title of the textbook being used. I will reply with payment instructions and schedule a meeting via Zoom.

Essay Review

History classes always include writing assignments. These may be original research on a specific historical subject, review of a historical event, or discussion of a particular reading. Although we can’t guarantee students will get an A grade, we can review the paper before its due date and provide feedback on content, organization, use of quotes from primary and secondary documents, general syntax and spelling, clarity, and thesis development.

Podcasts

Rebellious History is planning a series of podcasts on a variety of history topics. The podcasts are free, and the links will be added to the website as they are completed.

Note: History subjects have been often politicized and distorted to favor certain political agendas, liberal or conservative. Rebellious History does not condone the hijacking of history for propaganda goals. History includes controversial subjects that should be treated with the utmost respect and a fair treatment of the primary and secondary documents available.

Services For Spanish-Speaking Students: I’m fluent in Spanish and, therefore, can assist and tutor Spanish-speaking students that may be having some difficulty with their history classes, writing papers and essays, etc. Same fees apply. Please, contact rebellioushistory@gmail.com to schedule your first session and to outline the challenges that the student is having with the history class.

Research Services: Occasionally, script writers, TV and movie producers, and others need someone to do research on a certain topic so that their material is historically accurate. Rebellious History provides research services at $40/hour. Additional fees for expenses apply when research involves travel to archives located outside the Michiana area.
